A hearty, colourful stir fry that comes together in under 30 minutes. TUYET's concentrated formula means every piece of beef and every vegetable gets coated in rich, savoury flavour.
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tbsp TUYET Premium Cooking Sauce
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (for velveting the beef)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup snap peas
- 1 medium carrot, sliced thin on diagonal
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Steamed rice or noodles, to serve
Instructions
- Toss sliced beef with 1 tbsp TUYET sauce and cornstarch. Mix well and let sit for 10 minutes (this velvets the beef and keeps it tender).
- Heat oil in a wok over high heat until smoking.
- Add beef in a single layer. Sear for 1–2 minutes without stirring, then flip and cook 1 minute more. Remove and set aside.
- Add garlic and onion. Stir fry for 1 minute.
- Add carrots, snap peas, and mushrooms. Stir fry for 2–3 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Return beef to the wok.
- Mix remaining 1 tbsp TUYET sauce with 2 tbsp water. Pour over everything and toss.
- Finish with sesame oil and seasoning to preferred taste.
- Serve over steamed rice or tossed with noodles.
TUYET Tip: Slicing beef against the grain and velveting with cornstarch + TUYET sauce makes cheap cuts taste expensive.
